I currently have two (2) tattoos. One runs along the length of my left leg from my ankles to about the halfway point of my calf. The second is a at the small of my back.
Tattoo one (1) I got the last day of my 29th year of life. I wanted something to commemorate my twenties. I chose a butterfly on an ivy for two reasons.
- It's pretty
- A butterfly reflects change and the ivy is growth
To me I was growing up and changing. No longer a child. This tattoo symbolizes a time in my life where I hit a rough patch, but I came out vibrant and better for it.
My second tattoo I got when I was thirty-one (yes, I really am that old. LOL). As you all know I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan. So much, in fact, that I had the Deathly Hallows symbol tattooed to my body. It's located on the small of my back (yes, I have a tramp stamp) and it encompassed by two Phoenixes...also a Harry Potter reference.
The tattoo I want will represent him.
He has this stuffed bear that is everything to him. This bear is his best friend. He's even named the bear - Teddy Bear. Teddy Bear goes with us everywhere. We dine out, Teddy has his own seat. We go to the movies, Teddy is right next to us. And Teddy shares everything with my son, including drinks and food. Teddy Bear even dresses up to go trick-or-treating. That's no lie. Teddy was dressed as Darth Vader for Halloween.
What I want is an image of Teddy Bear and on his chest will be a heart with the autism puzzle pieces, signifying my son. I'm pretty sure I want to put this tattoo on my right hip or ribs, but I don't know if I can stand the pain of the ribs for the amount of time it'll take. I do know, however, that I will return to Chad at American Vengeance Tattoo in Amarillo, Texas. He's freaking awesome!
